We are looking for an experienced Prep/Line Cook to join our team at our quick service and fast food restaurant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, a passion for food preparation, and an eye for detail. The Prep/Line Cook will be responsible for ensuring that all food items are prepared according to recipes and specifications, as well as adhering to health and safety standards.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Follow recipes to prepare a variety of carbs (rice, noodles, bread, salad) and proteins (pork, beef, poultry, tofu) and other food items for cooking ovens, stoves, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Understand and prepare food per order tickets accurately and timely.
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
  • Know and comply consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.
  • Portion food products according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, freezer and refrigeration equipment.
  • Follow proper presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.
  • Handle, store and rotate all products properly using First In First Out (FIFO) principles.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as assigned by Line Supervisor.
  • Perform dishwashing of the utensils, cookware, and cooking equipment at the end of shift.
  • Mop kitchen floor and empty trash
  • Open/close the kitchen properly according to checklists.


PAY:


  • Base rate $19/hr plus $3-$4/hr tips!
  • After 3 months of consistent attendance and performance, base pay will increase to $20/hr!


SHIFTS:


  • Friday 1pm - 7pm
  • Saturday 12:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Sunday 12:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Monday 10am - 4pm


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Food Handler Card
  • 1 Year experience in similar capacity
  • Be able to stand long periods of time

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
