We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The Line Cook will play a vital role in our kitchen, responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong understanding of food preparation techniques and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service.
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation for catering events and daily service.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Help train new kitchen staff as needed, sharing knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Proficiency in meal preparation and cooking techniques within a professional open kitchen setting.
- Strong understanding of food handling practices, including safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience in the food industry, particularly with pizza/wood fired ovens.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in an open kitchen.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
- Knowledge of catering operations is a plus but not required.
- Experience with Rational iCombi units is a plus.
