Job Description:
Brown & Root is currently seeking a candidate for a Life Safety Inspector to support the Life Safety Inspections at the DuPont Experimental Station. A functional test shall be conducted on every required emergency lighting system at 30-day intervals for not less than 30-seconds.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform 30-second testing monthly testing on all Emergency Lighting Systems for the ESL Site in all buildings.
- Understanding the different types of Emergency Lighting Systems across the site and how to test the various units.
- Capable of operating an iPhone and learning the LSI Program that is utilized to track all results of each test.
- Document each unit's status indicating a pass / fail in the LSI Program, if the unit has failed, document the failure with a note and photo.
- Assist with keeping the LSI Program database current by documenting any changes, added / removed units to LSI Administrator.
- Communicate with the LSI Administrator on a regular basis to advise on the status / completion of each report.
- Additional duties / responsibilities may be assigned as required
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
- Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Pre-hire physical required
- Background Check
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field
- Strong time management skills and communication skills with customers and co-workers
- Knowledge of computer applications and basic mathematics and computer skills
- Capable of lifting 50 LBS.
- Upholds all company expectations for Safety, Health, and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
