Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our dynamic legal team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for undergrad students aspiring to study law, J.D. students, or recent graduates to gain practical experience in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will assist with various legal tasks, including research, drafting documents, and supporting our attorneys in their daily activities.


Duties


  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis to support case preparation, litigation strategy, and memo drafting.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing case documents, including contracts, correspondence, and filings under supervision.
  • Help organize and maintain accurate case files, both physical and digital, including preparation of evidence packets and supporting documents.
  • Participate in internal team meetings, case strategy discussions, and status reviews.
  • Assist with document review and analysis to identify relevant facts for ongoing cases.
  • Support paralegals and the attorney in immigration case preparation, including visa applications, petitions, and waivers.
  • Use Docketwise (training provided) to enter and track immigration case information and generate USCIS forms.
  • Use Canva to help design presentations, flyers, or case visual exhibits (no prior experience required; we�ll teach you!).
  • Answer the main office line and conduct initial client intake interviews (eventually, with training).
  • Assist with other legal areas handled by the firm, including business, family, real estate, and personal injury cases as needed.
  • Communicate with talent agencies, performing arts schools, and clients in the entertainment industry; assist in contract drafting and research specific to entertainment law cases.
  • Conduct preliminary research and provide drafting support for contracts and communications relating to entertainment and talent representation.
  • Demonstrate an interest in Intellectual Property Law and be willing to learn about copyright, trademark, and related legal frameworks.


Experience


  • Research skills with the ability to analyze legal issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with legal drafting practices and terminology is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or in a legal internship is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise documents that adhere to legal standards.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • A keen interest in law.
