Position Highlights

The School of Landscape Architecture and Planning invites applicants for the position of Lecturer to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in our real estate and urban planning programs. We are seeking qualified candidates who can work with a various populations of students and colleagues, and individuals who have experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.


This is a non-tenure eligible position for the 2025-26 academic year. Duties include teaching two or more courses per semester in in-person and/or online formats.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach two or more courses per semester.
  • Syllabi and assignment preparation.
  • Deliver classroom lectures and instructional activities.
  • Create, grade, and critique student assignments.
  • Exam preparation and grading.
  • Evaluate overall student performance in the course.
  • Attend relevant monthly faculty meetings.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Able to work with diverse students and colleagues.
  • Experience managing web-based and remote learning environments


Minimum Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in the appropriate or related field.
  • Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful college or university teaching experience.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University’s campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
