We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Engineer to join our Raleigh Office. Reporting to the Associate, Branch Office Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer, this role offers the opportunity to design mechanical systems for diverse building projects, lead local projects, and support business development efforts. You'll work in a flexible, collaborative, and growth-focused environment with hybrid work options and exposure to various facility types.- Serve as technical lead and project manager for local mechanical engineering projects.
- Design mechanical systems (HVAC and plumbing) for new and existing buildings.
- Conduct field surveys, code analyses, equipment selections, and specifications.
- Manage projects to ensure technical quality, budget compliance, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and consultants.
- Identify and proactively resolve design and construction issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support business development by building and nurturing client relationships.
- Contribute to the company�s high referral rate and contract performance metrics.
- Participate in occasional field work, including day-long surveys and limited travel.
- Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Architectural Engineering (HVAC focus).
- 8-15 years of experience in mechanical system design and construction administration.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Proficient in AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience planning and designing integrated HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Capable of mentoring and supervising junior team members.
- Physically able to conduct on-site surveys, including climbing ladders and walking long distances.
- Willing to travel for field work (up to 10 nights/year).
- Ability to obtain client site access clearance.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
