The ideal candidate for this role will be a technical expert on the Morbidelli CNC X200 machine, preferably also the Gabbiani automatic beam saw.We are not only looking for someone that possesses deep technical expertise but also excels at mentoring and training team members with varying skill levels.

SUMMARY

The

Lead Machine Operator is responsible for operating precision machinery and performing routine autonomous maintenance tasks. The Lead Machine Operator is also responsible for ensuring that all standards are being followed in every step of the production process and that the production documentation is completed on time. This position assists the Machine Operator Supervisor with training and coaching teammates on CAD/CNC Department machinery functionality and best-practices, and recommending other actions as needed.

Specifically, the

Lead Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains machinery such as the Morbidelli X200 CNC machine, the SNX Inventor CNC machine, the Gabbiani beam saw, hinge machines, band saws, table saws, and edge banders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, operate, and maintain CAD/CNC Department machinery.
  
• Load and unload materials; ensuring to label all materials with their corresponding information.
  
• Inspect parts and products for defects using measuring tools and following quality standards.
  
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery as needed.
  
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures when operating machinery, and ensure teammates are also following proper guidelines and procedures.
  
• Train teammates on the proper use on machines and equipment.
  
• Address complaints and concerns on CAD/CNC Department machinery and resolve CAD/CNC Department machine problems.
  
• Report all issues that cannot be easily and quickly fixed to Management.
  
• Ensure the department follows the needed daily production schedule.
  
• Report any program issues on ‘CAD/CNC issue report� in teams.
  
• Oversee all machine operations to ensure that all machines are being operated and maintained properly.
  
• Ensure that all machinery areas are clean at end of each day.
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent required; secondary technical school or coursework preferred, AND
  
• One to three (1-3) years� experience operating a Morbidelli CNC X200 machine and Gabbiani automatic beam saw, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
• Bi-lingual, Spanish speaking is a plus.
  
• Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, OSHA standards, product quality (success rates), throughput delivery and cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)
  
• Must have sufficient mechanical abilities to complete minor repairs.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than up to 50 pounds; the weight of a standard sheet of wood/material used in the manufacturing of our casino furniture.
