Lead Application Developer

ClerkBooks, Inc. is searching for a Lead Application Developer with a strong background in data-driven software development. Applicant should be community minded with a desire to help rural communities.

ClerkBooks is a small company (5 employees). We only have one full-time developer. You would work directly with the CEO of the company.

Relocation is not necessary. All work, and training, will be performed remotely through the internet. Preference is given to candidates residing in Iowa, as our corporate office is in Iowa.

Duties include: debugging and adding new features to an existing web-based accounting software package. Initial training on the ClerkBooks systems will be provided. Initial programming skills training will not be provided. Applicants must already know how to write code. Continuing education will be provided.

Applicants must demonstrate a solid knowledge of the following Programming languages: C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core, Core Identity, JavaScript, HTML, CSS. Experience with Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio is a plus. Education and experience in Accounting is also a plus.

Since you will be working with a team, you must be able to work well with others, be socially perceptive, an active listener, able to manage time well, and able to teach others. You must possess excellent oral and written comprehension along with mathematical reasoning. You will also need to be able to multi-task and juggle priorities.

The position requires a Windows 11 computer, two monitors, high-speed internet, and excellent cell phone reception.

ClerkBooks business hours are between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm central standard time. Anticipated work week is 40 hours per week. Work hours may vary per project. Wages will be determined by your experience, education and job performance.
