LBS1 Special Education Teacher - (Science & Social Studies)

Select Savvy is seeking a qualified and passionate LBS1 Special Education Teacher for an exciting 8th-grade opportunity in Joliet, IL for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position includes teaching Science and Social Studies in a split model of inclusion/co-taught and instructional/self-contained settings.

• Teach 2 inclusion/co-taught classes alongside general education teachers
  
• Teach 2 instructional/self-contained classes with modified curriculum
  
• Support IEP goals with accommodations and differentiated instruction
  
• Work closely with support staff, families, and service providers
  
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with all requirements
  
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement
  
• Middle school experience preferred
  
• Strong collaboration and classroom management skills
  
• Passion for serving students with varying academic and behavioral needs
