As a Labor Relations Representative, you will play a key role t o our customers at a plant location in the Greater Detroit area. Please note that the exact plant location in Greater Detroit is to be determined.


You will identify and drive operating efficiencies through contractual agreements, provide labor relations support to employees and leaders across the organization, and enable a positive workplace culture and environment by:


Equitable administration of the collective agreement including grievance administration, interpretation and overall compliance


Facilitating effective management/union relations


Administration of attendance program


Administration and discipline assessment


Run attendance reports and gather information to compile into presentations with trend analysis


EEOC and other workplace investigations


Coaching, guiding and providing direction to operating management on assigned shift


Implementation of lean manufacturing activities


Please note: The labor relations representative will provide support to both Detroit Assembly Mack and Detroit Assembly Jefferson locations.

Interpretation and application of contracts and agreements


Management of compliance and investigatory processes within a union environment


Facilitation or participation in difficult interactions or situations, focusing on conflict resolution

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree


Willingness and ability to work onsite rotating shifts including nights, weekends and occasional holidays


Proficient with Microsoft Suite


Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or related field


2+ years of experience in Human Resources with an emphasis in labor relations in a manufacturing setting


Knowledge of Human Resources Information System and reporting tools


Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment
