About the Opportunity

Raizan Solutions LLC is seeking a

Senior Systems Engineer to support a leading Aerospace Engineering firm that has been in business since 1977 and now has over 2,000 employee-owners. This position is part of a new, high-impact team delivering airborne connectivity solutions aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) goals.

This is a new position, not a backfill, and does not include direct reports.

Flexible work hours are available.

Equity, relocation, and sponsorship are not available.

Annual reviews and Bonus Incentive Plans (BIPs) are part of the compensation package.

3-4 Non-Negotiable Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  
• Active TS/SCI clearance
  
• Bachelor�s degree in Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering (or related field)
  
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering on DoD C4ISR, avionics, or open-architecture programs (including requirements management, architecture, and integration)
  
• Proficiency with SysML modeling tools (CAMEO/MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or equivalent) and requirements databases (DOORS, Jama)
  
• Demonstrated ability to lead design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and manage technical baselines in a digital-engineering environment
  
• Strong knowledge of MIL‑STD avionics power, data links (Link‑16/22, TTNT, OMS/UCI), SATCOM, Type‑1 crypto, and RMF / IA compliance
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• INCOSE CSEP / ESEP or DAU ENG/SAE Level III certification
  
• Prior work on ABMS, CJADC2, or other open‑architecture airborne networking programs
  
• Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines (Platform One / Iron Bank)
  
• Experience with automated model validation (ModelCenter, Cameo Simulation Toolkit)
  
• Strong communication skills with experience briefing SES / GO audiences
  
• Background in acquisition strategy documents (AS, SEP, SEMP, TEMP)
  

Key Responsibilities
Architect & Model the System‑of‑Systems

• Lead creation and upkeep of SysML / CAMEO models, DoDAF views, and ICDs
  
• Ensure all requirements trace to verification methods and mission threads
  

Requirements & Baseline Management

• Elicit and manage stakeholder needs in DOORS‑NG (or equivalent)
  
• Chair requirements reviews, delta boards, and configuration-control boards
  

Integration Leadership

• Translate digital designs into Integration SIL builds
  
• Address interface issues and feed lessons learned back into models
  

Verification & Validation Alignment

• Support early validation and development of VCRM
  
• Provide concurrence for IATTs and airworthiness packages
  

Risk, Metrics & Reviews

• Maintain risk register and conduct root-cause analyses
  
• Support performance metrics for dashboards and IMS
  

Mentorship & Culture

• Coach mid-level engineers on MBSE, Agile/SAFe, and DevSecOps practices
  
• Promote collaboration across government and industry teams
