Our offerings include Llama Packing 101 workshops and guided training treks that introduce both beginners and seasoned explorers to the unique benefits of trekking with llamas. As we grow our operational and customer-facing technology systems, we’re seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to ensure our tools run smoothly and securely from trail to tablet.


Position Summary:

We are looking for a resourceful and technically adept

Remote IT Support Specialist to support our digital systems, staff, and field operations. This role is essential to maintaining the stability of our internal tools-including booking software, device connectivity, communication platforms, and data storage. You’ll also assist in troubleshooting tech issues experienced by our remote team and ensure smooth, secure tech operations across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide remote technical support for staff using booking software, email systems, POS tools, and internal databases.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues for both office-based and field-based employees.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues promptly to avoid workflow disruptions.
  • Set up new user accounts and manage access to internal systems and cloud-based tools.
  • Implement updates and upgrades for operating systems, software, and antivirus protections.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and support tickets.
  • Assist with equipment procurement and remote setup for new hires or seasonal team members.
  • Support mobile device management for tools used during on-trail logistics and llama tracking.


Required Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows, MacOS, and cloud-based applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365).
  • Familiarity with remote support tools such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Zoom Remote Support.
  • Basic networking knowledge (VPNs, routers, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience supporting field teams or remote-first organizations.
  • Familiarity with booking platforms, customer service portals, or scheduling tools.
  • Interest in outdoor recreation, sustainability, or rural/agricultural tech use cases.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (iPads, GPS trackers, rugged tablets) used in field logistics.


Compensation & Benefits:


  • Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience.

Work Environment:
