The primary function of the Insurance Verification Specialist is to contact carrier groups to obtain eligibility information ensuring that the most updated verification is entered into the practice management software. Develops and maintains effective relationships with the patients ensuring all patient demographic and insurance information is obtained and entered into systems
â— Responsible for effective and efficient verification of all patients’ benefits before their appointment.
â— Research eligibility information online with various insurance carriers.
â— Responsible for acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and claims admin to ensure all proper measures are taken and correct information is collected.
â— Ensures all patient questions are answered and issues are resolved timely by utilizing the appropriate resources.
â— Responsible for calling and confirming appointments up to two days in advance.
â— Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
â— Responsible for answering incoming calls from patients to make appointments and resolve other incoming tasks.
â— Greeting and checking in patients and updating any required paperwork for their charts.
â— Treat all patients and staff with compassion and empathy.
â— Adapt communication to an individual’s ability to understand.
â— Respond to communications received within a reasonable time frame.

â— Knowledge and skills in working with Eaglesoft, Vyne, and Revenuewell
â— Must adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
â— Knowledge of dental insurance and authorization processes.
â— Some dental terminology and experience working with insurance.
