The
Insurance Authorization/Verification Representative must be reliable, friendly, have excellent customer service and verbal skills, attention to detail, and be able to work well under pressure.Duties Include:
- Obtain insurance authorizations and pre-certifications for testing, physician and hospital services.
- Duties include calling Insurance companies to obtain and follow up on authorizations after eligibility has been checked.
- Insurance company contact may be done via phone and/ or through online insurance payer portals
- Assist Medical Receptionists with questions and/or add on testing physician may determine is necessary.
- Update patient accounts with registration, insurance, demographic, scheduling, and billing data
·Provide superior high volume patient customer service in a fast paced environment
· Use Next-gen Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook), medical software, insurance payer portals.
· Knowledge of coding a plus
