Piper Companies is hiring an Institutional Trust Officer to join a growing, well-established trust company in Wilmington, DE. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong trust administration or retirement plan experience looking to take on a client-facing, fiduciary-focused role.
- Manage trust accounts (retirement plans, foundations, escrows) from setup to termination
- Serve as a primary contact for clients, recordkeepers, and advisors
- Ensure compliance with ERISA and fiduciary policies
- Review trust docs, process distributions, and complete annual account reviews
- Handle internal records, reports, and payment processing
- Help evaluate new business opportunities with a fiduciary lens
- Bachelor�s degree + 5 years� experience in institutional trust, custody, or retirement plan admin
- Knowledge of ERISA, trust/fiduciary rules, and investment basics
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and client service skills
- Organized and detail-oriented, with solid Excel and system experience
- Able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Type: Full-time, permanent
- Salary: $100,000-$150,000 (Plus Bonus)
- Requires onsite availability 3 days per week in Wilmington, DE
