work/life balance. The shift available for this unit is:To coordinate activities associated with the surveillance, prevention and control of infections within the hospital. In collaboration with the Infection Control Committee, to act as a resource for infection prevention issues. To prepare reports and present information relative to the prevention of infections.

MSN or Master's in Public Health preferred. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Must obtain and maintain certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC) within three (3) years of hire. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
