Independent Behavior Consultants help to deliver behavioral support services that are designed to support individuals who are experiencing or are likely to experience challenges accessing and actively participating in the community as a result of behavioral, social, or emotional challenges. Behavioral support services are intended to empower individuals and families (by leveraging their strengths and unique abilities) to achieve self-determination, interdependence, productivity, integration, and inclusion in all facets of community life, across all environments, across the lifespan.
+ Observations, environmental assessments, record reviews, interviews, and data collection.
+ Completion of psychosocial and biomedical histories to identify targeted behaviors.
+ Clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, special education, social work, counseling, or related human services field.
+ OR licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
+ OR bachelor's degree with qualifications per Indiana regulations.
