Summary


The Human Resources Generalist works closely with Senior Leadership to support a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative work environment. This position plays a vital role in all areas of HR, including employee relations, benefits administration, onboarding, performance management, compliance, HRIS management, and policy development.


Responsibilities


  • Communicate professionally with employees, management, executives, and vendors through various media, demonstrating poise, discretion, and professionalism in sensitive HR situations.
  • Manage and support employee engagement initiatives that foster a collaborative, rewarding, and professional workplace culture.
  • Investigate employee relations issues and recommend appropriate resolution strategies.
  • Administer and respond to employee benefit inquiries and stay informed of best practices in benefits administration.
  • Create, maintain, and revise job descriptions and organizational policies.
  • Oversee performance evaluation programs and annual review processes.
  • Support and administer payroll in coordination with external providers.
  • Maintain affirmative action programs and ensure federal/state compliance (FMLA, EEO, FLSA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including writing and posting job advertisements.
  • Conduct new employee onboarding, particularly benefits orientation.
  • Oversee and document exit interviews and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain HR records, departmental reports, company directory, and organizational charts.
  • Participate in administrative staff meetings and contribute to strategic HR planning.
  • Recommend and implement new HR procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Create and analyze HR reports using Excel to support business decisions.
  • Provide general clerical support to the Accounting team.
  • Travel between store locations and assist with store-level support functions during peak seasons (e.g., cashiering, supply ordering, Saturday coverage, etc.).
  • Bonus: Experience with UKG Ready payroll system is highly desirable.


Requirements


  • 2 -4 years� experience in HR or related field.
  • Bachelor�s degree preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Proven Excel and MS Office experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work vary depending on the season, ranging from 40 hours to 55 hours per week.


Other Duties
