Job Overview

We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our team at E Mortgage Capital, Inc.! The Director of Human Resources plays a key role in supporting the overall administration of the human resources activities such as employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, performance management program, and training and development. This position will be full-time on-site Monday - Friday with hours scheduled between 8 AM - 6 PM.

Duties


  • Develop HR strategies and administer HR policies and procedures
  • Support operational efforts through proper staffing and training of associates
  • Conduct needs analysis; develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials
  • Instruct managers in developing alternatives/solutions to employee concerns, and in carrying out/operating within regulatory programs
  • Successfully defend against unemployment claims, Workers' Compensation claims, etc.
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys
  • Provides employee counseling as necessary
  • Plan and coordinate employee functions, suggestion program, etc.
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect company service standards and procedures
  • Align company strategy with overall business goals and partner with leadership to ensure organizational priorities are reflected in HR programs
  • Leverage operational experience to lead HR initiatives across a distributed or remote workforce
  • Design and lead programs that nurture company culture through storytelling, recognition, and intentional employee experiences
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve employee engagement and retention
  • Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning efforts to support business growth and scalability
  • Guide employer branding initiatives that attract top-tier talent aligned with company values
  • Coach managers and leaders to elevate team performance and promote a culture of accountability
  • Foster a forward-thinking HR mindset focused on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Operate with agility in ambiguous environments and experiment with new ways to support employee development and well-being
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Experience & Education Requirements


  • Mortgage Banking Knowledge (Preferred); understanding of mortgage banking industry practices, licensing, and compliance is a plus
  • Master's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Human Resources, with a minimum 5 years of experience managing a team, demonstrating proficiency in leading and managing a team of employees
  • Strong background in employment, employee relations, benefits, wage and salary, employee training, accident prevention, and government regulations and policies as they impact HR


Skills


  • Proficiency in overseeing or managing payroll for mid-to-large organizations
  • Ability to assess and distinguish between urgent, important, and non-urgent tasks, continuously adapting priorities to align with evolving business needs, ensuring critical objectives are met efficiently and expeditiously
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively
  • Persuasive communicator with the ability to influence others with logic, tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to think and work on both a strategic and tactical level; demonstrated ability to balance the need to complete essential daily functions while maintaining a high-level perspective to assess organizational needs, develop strategic solutions and drive department and organization-wide initiatives

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
