Human Resource (Labor Relations Partner) Hybrid

JOB TITLE: Labor Relations Partner (Hybrid)

DURATION: 16 weeks (to be confirmed)

SCHEDULE: 8am-5p with some flexibility needed to work extended hours for certain cases

LOCATION: 110 N Main St Ste 350 Dayton, OH 45402 (Hybrid)

On-site at primary location with travel required between sites. Radius span from main campus (Dayton) traveling 20-22 miles in either direction to other facilities. Reporting to the main campus when not traveling or whichever facility is closest to them. Option to work hybrid.

JOB SUMMARY: The Labor Relations Partner (LRP) will report to the Director of Labor Relations and will be mainly responsible for labor relations and union avoidance. In this role, the LRP will be responsible for providing consultation and guidance to our key stakeholders in developing strategies to maintain a union-free work environment. The LRP’s primary focus will be on designing and delivering training programs to educate managers on labor unions, the National Labor Relations Act, and best practices for positive engagement with employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Facilitation of assessments of the current labor relations environment within the organization to identify potential union vulnerabilities.
  
• Implement customized labor relations education and training programs tailored to the organization�s unique needs.
  
• Train managers on effective communication techniques, leadership skills, and legal compliance requirements related to labor relations.
  
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to the organization�s leadership team on strategies to prevent union organizing efforts and maximize direct employee engagement.
  
• Stay up to date on relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure the effectiveness and compliance of labor relations initiatives.
  
• Assist with delivery of National Labor Relations Act training to staff and leaders at all the organizations� hospital campuses in Dayton, Centerville, Middletown, Englewood, and Troy Ohio and its affiliates.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver comprehensive labor relations strategies.
  

Utilize skilled strategic thinking and exhibit a passion for helping to maintain positive labor relations and maximize employee engagement.

• Support and have transportation to multiple locations in Southwest Ohio.
  
• Employ a strong aptitude for engaging with employees in a positive, informative, deescalating manner.
  
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act and be able to educate on various topics related to the act.
  
• Create and present education on the topic of labor relations, labor unions, and the National Labor Relations Act.
  
• Schedule and facilitate 1:1 or group meetings with the intent to educate and answer labor relations related questions.
  
• Support bargaining activities such as participation in union bargaining meetings and assist in the creation of proposals.
  
• Understand and interpret company policies and procedures for the purpose of union negotiation - specifically on the topics of pay, benefits and working conditions.
  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in HR, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations or related field
  
• 3-5 years of related experience in employee relations
  
• Previous experience with union avoidance strategies REQUIRED
  
• Previous healthcare experience PREFERRED
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
  

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
