Position Summary:


The HR Generalist supports daily human resource functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services to all employees. This role partners with leaders and employees across the facility to drive HR initiatives in recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, training, and benefits administration. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus to support our diverse workforce.


Location: 737 E 1180 W, American Fork, UT 84003 (On-site)


Schedule: 9 AM - 6 PM


Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, responding to concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Support recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried roles: posting jobs, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting new hire onboarding.
  • Administer HR processes including new hire orientation, terminations, status changes, and leave administration (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to support performance management processes, including evaluations, coaching, and documentation.
  • Conduct investigations and document findings regarding workplace concerns such as attendance, policy violations, and misconduct.
  • Assist in developing and delivering HR training programs for leaders and employees (e.g., safety, harassment prevention, and company policies).
  • Support payroll and benefits processes, acting as a liaison between employees and providers for issue resolution.
  • Track and report on key HR metrics, such as turnover, absenteeism, and training completion.
  • Assist with employee engagement activities and internal communication efforts.
  • Support safety initiatives and assist with workers' compensation case management.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor�s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with HRIS systems (Paycom a plus).
  • Spanish-speaking proficiency is a plus.
