Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Seat guests and manage the seating chart to ensure efficient seating rotation
- Provide guests with menus and answer any questions they may have about menu items
- Take reservations and manage the reservation system
- Assist with taking food and drink orders when necessary
- Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness and proper setup
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain knowledge of daily specials, promotions, and restaurant events
Skills:
- Excellent guest services skills with a focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar restaurant point-of-sale systems
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, staff, and management
- Knowledge of proper phone etiquette for taking reservations and handling guest inquiries
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required
