The Spirit of the Position


The

Hospitality Valet Manager at The Benson in Aurora supports Regional Management with complete oversight of the financial, operational, safety, and service-related success of the hotel's parking operations.


  • Compensation: $65,000 annually


Principle Job Duties


  • Operational Excellence: You'll be responsible for the financial, operational, safety, and service success at The Benson.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, plan, schedule, train, and direct the activities of Supervisors, Shift Leads, and frontline staff.
  • Maximizing Performance: Ensure that revenue is increased, expenses are controlled, and customer satisfaction is maximized by maintaining the highest level of safety and service standards aligned with our client's expectations.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


People


  • Client Collaboration: Attend daily stand-up meetings and resume meetings scheduled by the client, either personally or through Assistant Hospitality Managers/Supervisors/Shift Leads.
  • Internal Communication: Ensure LAZ internal stand-up meetings (Pre-Shifts) are held for each shift, managed either by you or through Supervisors/Shift Leads.
  • Team Development: Assist with the management and development of the hotel team to achieve goals and initiatives, while embodying and using LAZ Parking�s culture as a guide.
  • Talent Identification: Identify high-potential employees to support the organization�s continued growth, both within your region and outside of it.
  • Recruiting: Actively participate in the recruiting and onboarding process for prospective employees.
  • Safety First: Ensure all safety initiatives from the National Safety & Training Manager, Hospitality are rolled out to new and existing employees. Promptly address any and all safety concerns.


Product


  • Service Results: Drive service results and establish goals by monitoring and responding to results from LAZ Service Shopper Reports and the hotel�s internal service metrics.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate client relationships and ensure business retention.
  • Project Management: Implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the operation of the assigned hotel.
  • Contractual Adherence: Understand, implement, and deliver all requirements outlined in the contractual agreement between LAZ Parking and The Benson.


Profit


  • Claims & Safety: Responsible for claims and safety-related training, prevention initiatives, and claims processing, including investigation, client and guest follow-up, and compliant reporting.
  • Financial Oversight: Ensure overall financial success, including audit compliance and adherence to audit protocols.
  • Payroll Management: Process payroll, ensuring hours are signed off on in a timely manner. Collaborate with the local payroll department to ensure proper pay data and work with the Human Resources Business Partner to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.
  • Data Reporting: Ensure LHIST data is entered daily and accurately.
  • Budgeting: Manage the financial aspects of the location, ensuring adherence to the budget and implementing revenue enhancements as they relate to staffing, scheduling, and operational expenses.
  • Reporting: Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual financial and operational reports as required.
  • Strategic Planning: Prepare budgets and conduct monthly reviews of profit/loss for the assigned hotel.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor, review, and analyze market rate structures.


Requirements


  • Education: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is desired.
  • Experience:


+ 1+ years of Management experience.

+ Prior experience in the hospitality industry (Parking, Restaurants, Hotels, etc.) is preferred.

+ A valid driver’s license is required.

+ Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment with high customer expectations.

+ Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and General Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Skills:

+ Capable of handling employee conflict, following grievance procedures, mediating, and conflict resolution.

+ Strong customer service skills and abilities.

Physical Demands


  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
