Responsibilities


  • Initiate appropriate preventative nursing procedures and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician in the physician�s plan of care
  • Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
  • Assist the patient with daily living activities and facilitate the patient�s efforts toward self-sufficiency and optional comfort care
  • Communicate with the physician regarding the patient�s needs and report changes in the patient�s condition; obtain and receives physician�s orders as required
  • Provide direct hospice care with an emphasis on community health education and experience, and maintain a safe environment for the patient


Qualifications


  • Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an RN in the state of Rhode Island
  • CPR certification required
  • Bachelor�s degree with one (1) year of hospice care, long-term care, or ICU experience required
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured by state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order
