HealthAnswers

The HealthAnswers uses person-to-person communication to answer questions from consumers and patients reqarding Bronson services and providers, classes and events, and MyChart, the online patient portal to the patient's electronic health record. Also provides health information to consumers using web-based resources, the internet and the HealthAnswers collection of print resources. Helps consumers identify reliable health information. Provides assistance using MyChart. Registers individuals for classes and events. Provides information and referral to community resources with appropriate.

Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. . Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft Word and some database searching with the use of the Internet . Medical terminology preferred . Experience in customer service, information technology, teaching preferred.

Customer service experience or working expertise of user experiences with computer applications; familiarity with Epic electronic health record, particularly MyChart

Interest and aptitude for learning new applications

Excellent telephone presence and interpersonal skills

Excellent customer service skills with ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Assists customers in problem resolution via phone or email; investigate, troubleshoot, coordinate support efforts and resolve problems for users

Work is constantly and exceptionally tiring mentally and/or visually. Conditions exist more than 90% of the work time. The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.

Public Service . Provides health information for healthcare consumers using the Internet. . Provides information and referral about Bronson services for healthcare consumers. . Provides information and referral about community services for healthcare consumers.

. Provides support to patients for questions and problems related to access to MyChart. . Provides new users of MyChart with activation codes and instruction on creating an account and using MyChart. Provides referral to Bronson providers using monthly provider availability reports and the Bronson website . Searches health web sites for information for consumers. . Uses Epic to assist customers with questions and problems regarding access to MyChart.

Technical Services . . . Uses Epic to assist customers with questions and problems regarding access to MyChart. . Uses VitalSite to register individuals for classes and events and provide MyChart activation codes. Logs transactions using HealthAnswers SharePoint form. . Subscribes to MedlinePlus email updates to stay current on consumer health information topics. . Teaches healthcare consumers how to identify appropriate health information on the Internet.
