The Center Manager oversees the daily operations of a Head Start center, ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing regulations, and health and safety protocols. This role supports a positive learning environment by working closely with education staff, families, and program leadership.
- Ensure center compliance with Head Start, state licensing, and CACFP regulations
- Monitor health and safety standards; coordinate with Facilities/Operations on concerns
- Lead performance evaluations and staff support
- Collaborate with Data Coordinator on child outcomes and improvement plans
- Communicate policies and updates to families and staff
- Assist with self-assessments and quality improvement plans
- Attend team meetings and represent the center as needed in governance meetings
- Bachelor's degree (Early Childhood Education or related field preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Tech proficient and able to manage data systems
- Pass required background checks and health screenings
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and travel occasionally
