This position involves repairs, upkeep and scheduled maintenance to all facilities and equipment.
· Assist the Maintenance Department in maintaining all facilities and equipment in a professional manner.
· Ensure all material used is properly documented and replacement materials recorded.
· Must have the ability to work alone and/or with minimum supervision, or with a group yet provide quality results.
· Utilize the Micro Main work order program and properly document all actions and time.
· Support the Maintenance Department Safety Program.
· Be willing to provide training to other employees in all areas of expertise.
· Function, when assigned, as the after-hours Maintenance Man on call.
· Evaluate all assignments; be able to prioritize and determine time and materials required to complete the assignment.
· Perform repairs to any and all systems according to industry standards.
· Assist if asked to help during emergencies (storms, floods, etc.)
· Assist in other areas as directed.
Experience in providing general maintenance in single family and multi family living units. Ability to perform technical skills in at least two maintenance areas. Ability to work in all conditions during all seasons. Required to use equipment such as golf carts, JD backhoe, 60’ manlift, Kubota tractor and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools. Physical strength and stamina equal to heavy work. Ability to maintain high level of productivity for entire shift. Be a self motivated self starter. Maintain a positive attitude of helpfulness towards our residents
