We are seeking a skilled Friction Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating friction cranes on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of the crane and other heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate lifts and ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate logs of crane operations, including hours worked and maintenance performed.
- Assist in the operation of other heavy equipment as needed, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and dump trucks.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills related to crane operation and heavy machinery.
- Proven experience in construction site operations with a focus on friction crane operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery including concrete mixers, front loader trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers.
- Ability to operate additional equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes from manufacturers like Caterpillar.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
