Under general supervision, this position performs work at the full performance level, planning and directing the preparation and service of food in the Hospital. Supervises and assigns duties to cooks, bakers, food service workers and other positions assigned to the area; schedules workers’ shifts, works with the Nutritionist to prepare special diets and performs related work as assigned. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position.
This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug and alcohol screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug and alcohol testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Applicant must successfully pass a background screening.

High school diploma or the equivalent.
Licensure/Certifications:None.
Experience:Three (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in large-scale food preparation and service.
Internal Applicants:Two (2) years of experience as a Food Service Worker may substitute for the required experience.
