Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have the ability to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that all guests receive attentive and friendly service throughout their visit.


Duties


  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials.
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
  • Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting dining areas to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or requests promptly.


Skills


  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Proficient in time management to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy shifts.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential.
  • Culinary experience or kitchen experience can enhance understanding of menu items.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.

Job Type: Part-time


Pay: $12.00 per hour


Expected hours: 18 - 32 per week
