Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install fire sprinkler systems according to codes and standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand and power tools
- Install valves, alarms, and other components of the fire sprinkler system
- Test and inspect installed systems to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues or malfunctions in the system
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
Requirements:
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of codes and standards related to fire sprinkler systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Proficiency in tube bending techniques
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use tools such as calipers, pipe cutters, and threaders
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
