The Financial Controller role is responsible for the day-to-day and long-term administrative and financial operations of the company and reports to the President/Owner. Candidates with the ability to lead and organize operations will have the opportunity to grow the role into a Director position in the company.
- On/Off boarding of employees in financial software.
- Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees.
- Process payroll taxes for IL, MO, City of St. Louis.
- Process monthly union benefits and payments.
- Non-union Benefit Administration
- Handle union and insurance audits.
- Perform Month End Closure, Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations, and Financial Reporting.
- Monthly Construction Invoicing, AIA Billing, SOVs, Lien Waivers & Certified Payroll
- Proven experience as company controller.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, laws and best practices
- Accuracy in payroll and associated financials
- Construction invoicing and job costing experience
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
- An analytical mind with a strategic ability
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
- CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
- Notary is a plus.
