Elite Home Health, LLC, is a growing home healthcare agency based in Bedford, IN. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Financial Controller to join our leadership team and help create financial processes for our organization as we continue to expand our services.


Summary:


The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and day-to-day accounting functions of the agency. This position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with healthcare regulations, and strategic financial leadership.


Responsibilities


  • Manage and oversee all daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
  • Oversee revenue cycle management, including billing and reimbursements to support healthy cash flow
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports for leadership review
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local healthcare financial regulations
  • Understand and manage contract and reimbursement processes to optimize revenue
  • Leverage accounting software (QuickBooks), electronic medical record (EMR) platforms, and data analytics tools to support financial decision-making
  • Create and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid requirements
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, including billing staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
  • Assess current financial practices to identify and implement system improvements to enhance efficiency and financial performance
  • Navigate and solve complex financial challenges in a dynamic healthcare environment
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations
  • Conduct cost analysis and efficiency reviews to identify opportunities for expense reduction without compromising care quality
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, as needed


Qualifications/Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 5+ years of financial management/accounting experience, ideally in home health, with Medicare and Medicaid billing experience desired
  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience required
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
