As the Field Operations Manager, you will plan, organize, and manage all aspects of the solar business operation including construction, project development, engineering, and installation. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with a growing and eager team of employees. You will expand and organize operations with the enthusiasm and strategic planning needed to develop growth.
· Work with crew members to complete projects within established policies and procedures
· Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment
· Install all rack grounding and DC wiring. Install and connect modules per plan
· Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety
· Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
· Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability
· Understand the full scope of work for a given project
· Follow and perform functions of pre-installation roof repairs
· Direct and coordinate activities of businesses or departments concerned with installation and inspections.
· Manage staff, prepare work schedules and assign specific duties.
· Manage company assets such as inventory, vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
· Manage, motivate, and mentor a variety of personnel involved in the installation and inspection of solar projects.
· Evaluate and manage the resources and processes required for the successful completion of a high volume of solar projects.
· Identify training needs, initiate development of subordinates, recommend effective personnel action.
· Maintain appropriate communications within area of responsibility.
· Keep employees informed as to company/department plans and progress.
· Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, and productivity throughout branch operations.
· Consult with all segments of management responsible for policy or action. Ensure compliance within area of responsibility.
· Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of policies and procedures.
· Work closely with the VP of Operations to provide accurate installation forecasts and branch performance reporting.
· Must be willing and able to occasionally travel (including overnight stays)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
