Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated

Fiber Construction Team Lead to help drive our in-house fiber build-outs. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends operational oversight with boots-on-the-ground participation. You’ll work with a seasoned team that includes a veteran construction manager ensuring you have full support as you lead projects focused on quality, safety, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and actively participate in fiber construction (aerial and underground).
  
• Interpret project plans and ensure correct fiber placement.
  
• Mentor and train newer team members - sharing your skills is a must.
  
• Oversee daily worksite operations, enforce safety practices, and ensure OSHA compliance.
  
• Conduct regular inspections for quality control.
  
• Respond to emergency fiber cuts and infrastructure damage when necessary.
  
• Manage and maintain tools and heavy equipment, including bucket trucks, excavators, and more.
  

Requirements

• CDL Class A (Required) - Must obtain tanker endorsement upon hire.
  
• Strong fiber-optic placement experience, with aerial placement preferred.
  
• Prior team leadership experience in construction or telecommunications.
  
• Ability to operate and maintain a range of construction equipment.
  
• Pole-climbing ability is a plus.
  
• Clear communicator with excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Work Hours
