Children’s Home Society of WV is seeking a
Family Support Center Director at our Martinsburg site. The successful candidate will oversee the development, implementation, and operation of all program components. Additional responsibilites include providing community-based family support services aimed at preventing the risk of child abuse and neglect and juvenile delinquency by promoting nurturing families and preventing at-risk families from having children removed from the home; enabiling families to utilize available community resources; creating supportive networks that enhance the child rearing abilities of parents; and helping to compensate for the increased social isolation and vulnerability of families served.Requirements for this position include a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field with two years of demonstrated ability to work with children and families; social work license or eligibility prefered; criminal and child abuse registry check; annual approved physical and TB documentation; driver’s license; available automobile and insurance coverage as required by law; ability to work under pressure and multitask; willingness to complete training provided by the agency; desire to make a positive impact in the community.
