GlobalFoundries’ Fab 9 (Essex, VT) is seeking an experienced, skilled, and motivated

This role requires the ability to effectively interface with GF personnel and on-site contractors to move furniture and materials, and to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 50 pounds). The candidate must communicate professionally with clients and respond to inquiries to ensure all needs are met promptly and satisfactorily. Duties also include the safe operation of a telehandler and box truck in and around the shipping docks and daily site traffic.

Most responsibilities in this role are performed independently, requiring a self-driven individual with strong time management skills and the ability to proactively seek guidance when navigating complex or unfamiliar situations. The position reports to the Northeast Site Services Manager, with a strong dotted-line relationship to the on-site Site Services Team.

• Perform manual duties related to delivering and relocating furniture and materials around the site, including assembling furniture in offices.
  
• Review the daily task list and determine the most efficient sequence of operations to maximize time utilization .
  
• Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of materials for requestors in accordance with the daily task list.
  
• Operate material and furniture handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, flatbed carts, and hand trucks to move and reorganize surplus furniture in storage.
  
• Physically load and unload transported furniture.
  
• Perform daily inspections of furniture handling equipment.
  
• Perform work within standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  
• Prioritize work assignments based on service commitments and business needs.
  
• Use moving blankets to protect furniture during transit.
  
• Assemble and disassemble furniture as required .
  
• Maintain clean moving equipment and tools.
  
• Follow guidelines to arrange furniture at assigned locations (standard office setup).
  

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
  
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the manager and/or Site Services Team.
  

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• Minimum one year of moving experience; preferred experience with forklift, power jack, telehandler, and other material/furniture moving equipment.
  
• Ability and willingness to obtain telehandler and/or forklift certification.
  
• Ability to safely navigate and drive a box truck to and from site shipping docks.
  
• Ability to pack and wrap furniture to protect it during transit.
  
• Load and unload furniture into trucks, ensuring it is secure and protected.
  
• Plan the most effective route to delivery destinations.
  
• Use moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and padding to move heavy items safely.
  
• Experience working as a material mover (telehandler and furniture) or in a similar role.
  
• Communicate with customers, answer questions, and assist with their requests.
  
• Storage management and ability to stage surplus and purchased furniture.
  
• Adhere to health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of accidents or injuries.
  
• Maintain and clean moving equipment and vehicles.
  
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  
• Fluent in English-both written and verbal.
  
• Commitment to safe work practices.
  
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to work well with both GF and non-GF team members.
  

• Ability to walk for the majority of an 8-hour shift (excluding breaks).
  
• Able to lift, pull, and/or carry a minimum of 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift.
  
• Able to bend at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp, reach, climb ladders, and push or pull flatbed or hand carts.
  

• Must meet GlobalFoundries� driving requirements for operating company vehicles (valid driver�s license with a clean driving record).
  

• Experience using machinery for packing, wrapping, and crating materials.
  
• Problem-solving skills to address unexpected situations such as space constraints or other obstacles during the moving process.
  

$41,400.00 - $67,200.00
