Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment team as the F-35 Program Site Lead. Our team is responsible for supporting F-35A operations at Orland Air Base, Norway.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manages the identification of customer's system needs and responds to requests for proposals; performs feasibility and performance studies, including benchmarking, capacity planning, etc.
  
• Develops appropriate systems recommendations to meet customer needs, including system configurations, installation planning, etc.; prepares and presents technical product information to customers.
  
• coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  
• Oversees post-installation and implementation responsibilities including technical consulting to customers and providing solutions to software problems.
  
• The preferred candidate will also be an F-35 subject matter expert (SME) in one of the following three areas and and emerging authority in the other two: Avionics/Mission Systems (MS), APG/Vehicle Systems (VS) and Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/Structures. The candidate will act as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) technical interface to the Norwegian Air Force (both operations and maintenance) resolving issues arising from maintenance and modification activities for all matters dealing with the F-35 aircraft.
  
• Must be willing to deploy, as required, for long-term assignment, work any shift, and weekends.
  
• Candidates must be willing and able to deploy with customer personnel to hazardous locations.
  
• Accomplish troubleshooting and analysis of aircraft discrepancies experienced in the field.
  
• Document unusual operations/maintenance issues ensuring company awareness and identify emerging failure trends.
  
• Initiate Action Requests (ARs) and document unique operational failures/problems requiring technical, procedural, or quality assurance actions. Provide onsite assistance to company and customer personnel in writing effective ARs.
  
• Provide customer training. Must be able to work and interact with various levels of customer leadership and maintainers, Product Support Engineers, and various F-35 enterprise support peers.
  
• Applicant must be able to work and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant and continued interface with customer personnel at all
  
• US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.
  
• Must possess an active Secret Security Clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:

• At least 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience
  
• 5th Generation Fighter aircraft maintenance experience (F-22 or F-35)
  
• Minimum of 6 years experience with Avionics/Mission Systems (MS), Vehicle System/APG (VS), or Supportable Low Observable (SLO)/structures.
  
• Experience working and interacting with senior
  

management within unit, operations, and

maintenance communities.

• Demonstrated experience managing product /
  

system engineering support.

• Working knowledge of flight line operations in
  

and around operational environment.

• Experience working with pilot and maintainer
  

systems & processes, and/or logistics support.

Desired Skills:

The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates:

• Familiarity with the F-35 logistics, autonomic logistics information system (ALIS), technical publications approach and supportable low observable support concept beneficial.
  
• Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer fighter
  

training operations support.

• Prior military or civilian equivalent operational
  

maintenance & logistics experience desirable; specifically organizational and intermediate maintenance experience.

• Knowledge of F-35 pilot and maintainer systems & processes, and/or logistics support.
  
• Bachelor's degree from accredited college in a related discipline
  
• Fault isolation and problem analysis experience at the sub-system level.
  
• Technical report writing skills
  
• Experience with technical drawings/schematics reading and interpretation.
  
• Experience with engineering tools to include, but not limited to FSE Vision/VAST, PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE.
  
• Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
