We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in plastics extrusion processes. As an Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Experience with Flexible and Rigid PVC is a plus.
- Set up and operate extrusion machinery for the production of plastic components.
- Monitor the extrusion process to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers and other measuring tools to verify product specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste through lean manufacturing practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes is advantageous.
- Proficient in using calipers and other measurement tools for quality inspection.
- Knowledge of plastics extrusion techniques and best practices.
- Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency.
- Experience working in a warehouse setting, including operating forklifts safely (certification preferred).
