The Department of Experience Design and Management (EXDM) is seeking a faculty member with industry expertise who has a passion for ExDM related topics and a desire to help the department continue to develop and broaden this interdisciplinary area. Successful candidates will possess outstanding teaching ability with core competencies in ExDM and will teach up to four courses (12 credit hours), or its equivalent, during fall and winter semesters, and possibly Spring or Summer terms. Teaching responsibilities may include but are not limited to applied qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, project management, human-centered design, experience mapping, application of relevant theoretical frameworks, experiential marketing, digital application of experience design (UX/UI), and experience-based strategy, management, or operations. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in the management and operation of a student-run experience design laboratory and student internships. Successful applicants will also demonstrate comfort within the academic environment where research is emphasized and promoted, although there is not a research expectation associated with this position. Applicants will need to clearly articulate how their industry expertise, and subsequent teaching areas, align with and bring value added to the ExDM Department.
