The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one (1) Permanent/Full-time Senior Financial Institutions Examiner (SFIE) position in the Division of Corporations and Financial Institutions, Financial Services Office, California Financing Law Exams Unit. Position to be located in the Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles or San Diego office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days.
Under the general direction of a Financial Institutions Manager, the SFIE performs, plans, coordinates, and assists in the development and maintenance of examination programs individually or as part of a team, of California Financing Law lenders, brokers, and program administrators in accordance with the California Financing Law and the applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
The position may require extensive travel to licensees and occasional travel to conferences, meetings, and training events. Travel is primarily done by driving, but also includes periodic air travel.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without the need for a visa sponsorship or a training plan, now or in the future.
