Estimator to join our growing team.


Position Summary:


The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for underground utility projects. This role involves reviewing plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine scope of work, labor, material, and equipment costs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare cost estimates.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
  • Develop and submit complete bid packages on time.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams for accurate scope alignment.
  • Maintain and update historical cost data for future use.


Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of estimating experience in underground utilities (water, sewer, storm drain, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, HeavyBid, Bluebeam) preferred.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant degree or technical training a plus.
