The Equipment Shop Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the equipment shop, including inventory management, equipment repair, and end user support. This role includes managing component refurbishment strategies, providing upgrades and custom field parts, and performing component testing to support equipment reliability. Additional duties may be assigned as needed
+ Coordinate efforts to return equipment to the Bryan facility and evaluate equipment whether to refurbish or to scrap.
+ Separate and properly dispose of equipment is identified as unusable.
+ Provide upgrades, custom field parts, and component testing, some of which support SEG Reliability
+ Minimize equipment refurb backlog by refurbishing components in house or utilizing third party resources
+ Maintain refurb parts in inventory and use where possible. Coordinate refurbished components with Manager, Equipment Fabrication for new and refurb skids
+ Use third party suppliers for major repairs to equipment when needed
+ Perform and report on component utilization analysis, opportunities (Reliability philosophy, stock levels, new components, etc., some of which support SEG Reliability
+ Package parts & equipment securely to prevent damage during
+ Minimize overnight shipments and use company approved carriers. Consolidate shipments when applicable and look for ways to minimize shipping
