Equipment Operator (Non-CDL)

The Equipment Operator (Non-CDL) operates light machinery and performs manual labor to maintain safe, well-kept roadways in Bainbridge’s Streets Department. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Public Services Division and starts at $15.01/hour (Class 9A), with pay commensurate with experience.

• Operate small machinery and equipment for street-maintenance projects
  
• Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance on assigned equipment
  
• Assist with street repairs, including storm-drain and pothole patching
  
• Perform manual labor: clear and maintain ditches, remove debris, and support crew tasks
  
• Follow all safety regulations and departmental procedures
  
• Complete related duties as assigned
  

• High school diploma or GED
  
• Minimum 1 year of related experience
  
• Valid Georgia driver�s license (or ability to obtain one)
  
• Proficiency operating light equipment and hand tools
  
• Knowledge of safety protocols and local street geography
  
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in varying conditions
