Position Summary


We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Entry-Level HR Generalist to support the daily operations of our HR department. This role is ideal for someone beginning their HR career and excited to gain hands-on experience in areas such as compliance, onboarding, employee engagement, benefits support, internal communications, and training coordination.


This position works closely with the HR Manager and other department leads to ensure smooth execution of company policies, people processes, and employee support initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


Employee Experience & Engagement


  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, PTO, and basic HR procedures
  • Support internal communication efforts and contribute to a positive, inclusive work culture


HR Administration & Compliance


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system
  • Process employee changes such as promotions, terminations, and role updates
  • Help monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Track and organize mandatory trainings, safety documentation, and performance reviews


Benefits & Compliance Support


  • Track enrollment and waiver deadlines and ensure all required actions are completed
  • Coordinate with the benefits team to verify accuracy and compliance with enrollment policies
  • Maintain awareness of ongoing compliance tasks and assist in tracking completions
  • Provide support in 401(k) setup by sharing resources and instructions with employees
  • Assist with open enrollment and provide support on benefit-related questions
  • Help employees navigate benefits platforms and resolve basic issues


Onboarding & Orientation


  • Oversee onboarding checklist completion for new hires
  • Conduct new hire orientations alongside HR Admin
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for onboarding meetings and system access
  • Process account setup in platforms like Employee Navigator and Alliant Risk Management


HR Communications & Content Creation


  • Draft and design internal newsletters, ADP broadcasts, and company-wide announcements
  • Create infographics and internal materials for HR programs and initiatives
  • Ensure consistent branding and tone across all internal communications


Training Coordination


  • Arrange and schedule HR-related trainings across departments
  • Prepare materials, slide decks, and attendance trackers for trainings
  • Support HR manager in facilitating training sessions and follow-up on required completions


Qualifications


  • Bachelor�s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 0-2 years of HR experience (internships welcome!)
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and employment laws
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience is a plus
