Job Summary

The Enrollment Counselor is responsible for strategically identifying, engaging, and enrolling prospective students interested in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, as well as Post-traditional students-including adult learners, returning students, and transfer students-across all academic offerings at the institution, and assisting with academic advising across all programs. This is a highly visible, forward-facing role within a dynamic and continually growing organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Recruiting:* Serve as a key ambassador for the college by building and maintaining strong relationships with CTE faculty, local and regional employers, and area school districts. Promote awareness of the diverse opportunities available through SC and actively recruit students into CTE programs.

  • As a vital member of the Enrollment Services Team, lead the development and implementation of targeted recruitment strategies for adult learners, returning students, and transfer students. This includes gaining a deep understanding of the unique motivations, challenges, and support needs of post-traditional learners, and designing outreach efforts to effectively engage and support these populations.


Enrollment Counseling:* Support student success by providing comprehensive academic advising, actively contributing to retention initiatives, and help coordinate engaging new student orientation programs.

Education/Qualifications
  • Associate�s degree required, Bachelor�s preferred
  • Valid driver�s license required; Must be insurable and eligible to drive rental vehicles
  • Demonstrated understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and their relevance to workforce development.
  • Experience working with and understanding the unique needs and motivations of adult learners and non-traditional students.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to travel extensively, including evenings and weekends, as required for recruitment events.

Lead the development and implementation of targeted recruitment strategies for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.


Collaborate closely with faculty, the marketing team, and other key stakeholders to coordinate outreach efforts. This role requires local and regional travel to represent the institution and engage prospective students.


Percentage of time 30%


Responsibility/Duty
Design and execute comprehensive recruitment initiatives for adult learners, returning
students, and transfer students.


Develop a deep understanding of the unique needs and motivations of these audiences to

create recruitment programs that align with broader institutional marketing and enrollment

strategies. Evening and weekend events, both locally and regionally, may be required.

Responsibility/Duty
Enrollment Counseling:


Provide essential support and enrollment counseling for prospective students. Assist

students in preparing their education plans, registering, transferring and career exploration.


Percentage of time 5%


Responsibility/Duty
Utilize institutional systems and platforms effectively.


Maintain accurate records and manage communications using the Student Information System (SIS - Colleague) and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.


Support the Enrollment Services Team and broader institutional goals by taking on other

responsibilities as needed.
