Job SummaryServes as subject matter expert for Employee & Labor Relations. Handles complex employee and labor relations issues for faculty, staff and/or leadership. Provides guidance on employment & labor laws and regulations; conducts investigations; and mediates disputes. Provides training and support to colleagues, faculty, staff, and leaders on employee and labor relations matters. Represents the University in contract negotiations with labor unions and/or in dispute resolution, judicial and/or magisterial proceedings. Administers collective bargaining agreements and grievances. Develops, implements, and amends employment policies and procedures, including grievance procedures. Resolves employee questions, concerns and grievances. Contributes to complex aspects of a project.
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
