The Position - Commercial Service Electrician

We are seeking a skillful, reliable and experienced commercial service electrician. This position is a local commercial electrician position dedicated to projects typically within 2 hours of Melbourne, FL. Preferred experience in commercial electrical work with solid electrical skills and knowledge a plus. Our ideal candidate is an experienced electrician who is responsible, skillful and dedicated person. Commercial Electricians typically perform their work on project sites with an emphasis on high-quality work and safety. Preferred candidates are familiar with all commercial and industrial electrical phases. A desire to be a great team member, a willingness to work with a team and a positive attitude are important to success in this role. The day-to-day duties of the Commercial Electrician include:

· Various tasks working on electrical wiring and systems

• Troubleshooting outages
  
• Adhering to all quality and safety codes
  
• Familiarity with codes and installation specs
  
• Blueprint interpretation, understanding and implementation
  
• Proficient use of electrical hand tools
  
• Thorough knowledge of electrical equipment including the use of electrical testing equipment for diagnostic purposes
  
• Installation and repair electrical systems and fixtures
  
• Installation of various types of panel and services
  
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  
• Other duties as assigned
  

Key Characteristics of the Commercial Electrician

· Positive attitude with a hard work ethic

• Licensed Electrician 3-5+ years of experience, preferably in Commercial & Industrial
  
• Familiarity with working on projects lasting 2 to 6 months or more
  
• Experience running a service truck, commercial and industrial electrical
  
• Professional appearance, ability to use a Smart Phone/Tablet, willingness to work safely, great attitude, and ambition to grow
  
• Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, and the need for required adjustments, or repairs to ensure compliance with local and national codes
  
• Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, run conduit with precision using hand tools and power tools
  
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements
  
• Demonstrate and uphold all of Eau Gallie Electric�s core values: Relationships, professionalism, results, continuous improvement, and community
  
• Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Journeyman�s License, OSHA Training, Driver�s License

Minimum Requirements

The Commercial Service Electrician shall meet the following minimum requirements:

• Valid driver�s license with own reliable transportation is required.
  
• 2+ years of experience working as an electrician.
  
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience
  
• Positive interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with others collaboratively
  
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and industry best practices.
  

· Previous OSHA Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) certification is a plus

• Other duties as assigned.
