As the Electrical Instrumentation and Controls General Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all electrical instrumentation and control systems within our mining operations. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of electrical equipment and processes, as well as the optimization of our control systems to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
+ Provide strong leadership to the electrical instrumentation and controls team, including technicians and engineers.
+ Develop and implement strategies to optimize team performance, productivity, and morale.
+ Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the department.
+ Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, lighting, and communication networks.
+ Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
+ Coordinate with maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule repairs, inspections, and upgrades.
+ Manage and optimize the performance of instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and HMIs.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams to design, install, and commission new control systems and instrumentation upgrades.
+ Conduct regular audits and assessments of control systems to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
+ Lead electrical instrumentation and controls projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality standards.
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services as needed.
+ Provide technical expertise and guidance during project planning, execution, and commissioning phases.
+ Develop and deliver training programs for electrical instrumentation and controls personnel to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competencies.
