The Electrical Engineering Manager is a working manager position who manages the Electrical Engineering Department in daily activities, assuring completeness of design specifications, on-time delivery, start-up and final qualification; meeting and exceeding customer’s expectations, as well as achieving profit objectives.


As an Electrical Engineering Manager, you will…


  • Establish business goals and objectives within the Electrical Engineering Department.
  • Develop and establish electrical engineering standards for design and Bill of Materials on specified product lines; focus on improving quality, manufacturability and standardization of electrical engineering hardware and software design.
  • Manage electrical engineering personnel according to our policies: staffing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution. Invests in development and retention of personnel.
  • Manages electrical engineering requirements for machine projects according to strategic directions; prioritize projects and queuing of all deliverables according to schedule.
  • Coordinate all resources with other managers and departments as business needs demand.
  • Establish and implement ongoing technical training for Electrical Engineers.
  • Provide technical support on installations, schedules onsite resources, delegate technical support for less strategic projects.
  • Work with Product Managers and Sales to define project scopes, schedules and critical paths; provide expertise to establish the appropriate design criteria.
  • Interface with project management during build phase to assure excellence in execution and on time delivery.
  • Advise manufacturing and service personnel on proper operation of systems; troubleshoots problems.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; at least seven years of experience in electrical engineering applications in the high-speed packaging machinery industry.
  • Five or more years of management experience.
  • Mastery of engineering design using AutoCAD, Solidworks or equivalent CADD applications, RSLogix5, 500 & 5000 and RSView Studio ME/SE.
  • Demonstrated ability to design equipment with electronic motion control.
  • Knowledge of industrial networks: i.e. Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, ControlNet and Profibus.


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
